About Us

Amanda Culpepper is the owner and director of Star Valley Dance. She started ballet and tap at the age of 3. Amanda started competing a the age of 6 and quickly fell in love with competition. She trained in studios in North Carolina, Arizona and Utah. She has competed at a national level bringing home multiple awards. Her goal is to provide a safe and fun dance experience to the children in Star Valley while giving them the opportunity to compete and travel. 

Nyia Steed  graduated from Star Valley High in 2022. She is a former Brave Cadette dancer and student of Star Valley Dance. Nyia has been in the competitive dance world since she was 9 and has brought home 9 queen solo awards, 1 overall and a high gold from nationals, as well 3 state championship awards in hip hop and 3 state championships in jazz while dancing on the Brave Cadettes. Nyia teaches our intermediate jazz technique and stunts class. She is an amazing asset to Star Valley Dance.

Annie is from Bountiful, Utah andhas been dancing for 20 years with a competitive background in jazz, hip hop, and contemporary dance. Annie was the captain of Viewmont High School's Drill team her senior year and she made the all state drill team as well. We are so excited to have Annie as our hip hop teacher and an addition to our jazz program.

Josie is a guest choreographer at Star Valley Dance. Josie was born and raised in Jackson Hole and moved to Etna 5 years ago. She is the mother to 2.5 year old Toby. She danced at Dancer's Workshop for 10 years as well as dancing on the Jackson High School Dance Team. Josie's dance background is ballet, modern, jazz and ballet. Josie has choreographed routine for 2 competition seasons. She adds a great variety to our choreography.
